Over the last 40 years, 30 of which have been spent as a full time fishing guide, Mike focused much of his efforts on hunting for big smallmouth bass. During that time Mike logged in thousands of hours, catching in excess of 60,000 smallmouth. Over one thousand of these smallmouth measured on the plus size of 20 inches, with six pound fish being caught every year. Mike has successfully landed several toads that hit the scale at 7 pounds. As Mike likes to say, "I only fish for other fish when I am getting paid!"
