“I have read many of Ryan Jenkins' book. I appreciate the style and their succicent structure. More than the ease in which I am able to read these books, I love the content. I enjoy being regaled with history. I don't like books that are overwrought or the cover something common. I read the first 2 parts of solider stories and I enjoyed them. When I learned about part 2, I had to buy. In this installment, I learned about the war from the German perspective. Oftentimes, we learn about the evils of the Third Reich but told from another perspective. It's good to get that insight. “There are plenty of stories that you may not know about that happened during World War 2 since the main focus is on the survivors and those who's accounts were written before death. This is a great book if you want to know more about the German side. Not all of them were bad people, so this is very interesting to me.
