D-mannose is a glycol-nutrient sugar that can be found naturally in fruits. The human body also produces it. This sugar is unlike glucose which normally is absorbed quite quickly in the body. This sugar is absorbed into the body slowly. It does not transform into glycogen, or get stored in the liver. It travels from the upper section of the gastro-intestinal tract to other parts of the body, through the bloodstream. It is essentially filtered through the kidneys and then effectively delivered to the bladder.
