Rouge d'Hiver (Lactuca sativa) is an heirloom romaine-type lettuce hailing from France. Its name translates to "Red of Winter," as cold weather really brings out the deep-red color. This variety is popular for cut baby lettuce, although it will form beautiful romaine heads. Slightly lighter-textured leaves than Parris Island Romaine.
