Product Review
This ancient Radicchio comes from the Treviso region in Italy and is generally regarded as the best variety available. Has fleshy wine-red leaves, white ribs, and forms a compact head. A member of the Chicory family, radicchio has been grown since the time of the ancient Egyptians. Pliny the Elder even mentions this variety in his Natural History dated AD 79 claiming that it helps digestion and is a cure for insomnia. Does best in cool weather.

- Do not plant too early in spring or plants may bolt (go to seed). In early fall, cut off all leaves above the crown. New growth in cool weather produces the small, red, cabbage-like heads.
