Use a power supply with a barrel connector to power and charge USB devices. This is a great way to create a higher current USB charger using the extra 5V barrel chargers that you have lying around.

Please note that the adapter does not offer any resistance on the data lines and therefore will not work for charging iPhones, iPads, and other devices that expect resistance on the D+/D- lines. It will, however, work great for Rasberry Pi's, HDMI dongles, and most other USB powered devices.
