Wild Coffee is different than coffee you are used to. It is what we call "High-Performance Coffee." It is roasted in small batches locally in Austin, TX, and provided for sale immediately. Stock is never kept for long, and we regularly sell out as a result. But instead of roasting too much coffee and having extra sit around, we'd rather run out knowing it's always fresh!

Wild Coffee is always organic, fair trade, single-origin and 100% premium Grade "1" arabica beans from high-altitude climates. These qualities are of paramount importance in the quality of the final product. Of course, these attributes result in a more expensive product. To us, though, bad coffee is not acceptable. Ethiopia is where the original coffee plant, Coffea arabica, originates. According to legend, a goat herder named Kaldi noticed his goats "dancing" around after eating berries from a nearby bush. Kaldi tried the beans himself and was so excited by the effect that he brought the berries to monk at a nearby monastery. The monks brewed the beans in water so they could sip it during long prayers. The rest is history.

Sidamo Medium can be brewed with any typical brewing device, but we prefer the pour over method. It has a low-to-medium acidity, a creamy body and notes of fruit and berries.
