It’s nearing Christmas Day in the Manor House, and Jenny Mouse’s husband is missing. He only went out for a crumb of cheese and a crust of bread, but it’s been hours since he left, and that can mean only one thing – cat! It’s up to Jenny to leave the comfort of her hole in the wall (and her sleeping children) and rescue Peter from the cook’s cat – a huge tom with sharpened claws and an evil smile.
