1. The adjustment buckle and wide band are secure enough to keep it tight around head so that, even in a stiff wind or engaging in physical activities.

2. It is very absorbent, so I don't have sweat running into my eyes.

3. The bill is long enough to offer more protection from the sun.

4. It would be better to hand wash it with water below 122 Fahrenheit, it will keep looking good as it ages.
