Product Review
These are our large, 1-liter bottles. They are designed to be used for group events such as a bourbon tasting, a wedding, or a bar mitzvah. One or two bottles will fill several trays of ice or handle a large crowd at the bar. Keep the others to pour a splash. Old Limestone is drawn from the same Kentucky limestone aquifer used by master bourbon distillers to make their bourbons. These spring waters have traces of calcium and magnesium, which gives bourbon its smooth mouth feel, and no iron, which would turn a bourbon mash black. Taste The Difference. Ice cubes or a splash, limestone filtered spring water gently releases all the flavor nuances of your favorite bourbon - just as the master distiller's intended it to be. Try this. Pour two fingers neat, then sip it. Now add a splash of Old Limestone, swirl it around, and sip it again. There, you see? That's why Barry and I started starting bottling Old Limestone: To get back to our bourbon roots and enjoy it like we did in the old days. Details. Even in the Kentucky, ordinary tap water falls short of what a master distiller needs. If you're a friend of Pappy, Jim, or Evan, you know that bourbon leads to ice which leads to water which leads to Old Limestone which is the water that started it all. Now you can pour a splash of that same Kentucky spring water into your bourbon and taste all the flavor nuances the master distiller intended for you to taste. This is our delicious, velvety-smooth water with a rich mouth feel that amplifies the taste and aroma of your favorite bourbon, never alters it. Old Limestone. 100% limestone filtered spring water. Bottled at the source in Wilmore, Kentucky. Ships nationwide direct from Kentucky.
