Gwendolyn Jones arrives for her new life as school teacher expecting to be met by Joel Stone. Instead,her old sweetheart Mark Hardeman greets her. Mark had appeared to be courting her when he suddenly disappeared two years previously without a word. Why had he left so suddenly?
