Stabilized R Lipoic Acid utilizes BioEnhancedTM Na-R-ALA, the sodium salt of R Lipoic Acid. This stabilized form does not degrade at high temperatures, and is also far more bioavailable (better utilized by the body) than standard R-Lipoic Acid or Alpha Lipoic Acid. Stabilized R Lipoic Acid is both fat and water-soluble, setting it apart from common antioxidants, allowing it to truly stand in a league of its own. R-Lipoic Acid has been found to play a pivotal role in liver health as well as both glucose metabolism, insulin sensitivity, diabetes, maintaining healthy blood sugar levels, and energy production. Additionally, it has been found to increase ATP or Adenosine Triphosphate, and increase glutathione levels. R Lipoic Acid can be found in both the "R" and "S" form, however, the natural form (R-Lipoic Acid) has been found to be significantly more biologically available than the "S" form.
