The Xezo Golden Gate series of pens are individually numbered, and produced in limited editions of 250 pieces per style. They are handcrafted using selected panels of naturally iridescent white mother-of-pearl from New Zealand and black mother-of-pearl from Tahiti. The unique color and texture of each mother-of-pearl panel ensures that no two pens are exactly alike. The idea of using these beautiful materials originated from observations made of the sky's colors reflecting in the waters of San Francisco's Golden Gate Strait during sunrise and sunset hours. In addition, the design of the each pen's handmade and curved clip was inspired by the towers of the Golden Gate Bridge. Fine point German-made Xezo ruby rolling ball refill provides smooth skip-free writing. Total writing length of refill exceeds 3280ft/1000m. Original rollerball refill is selectively interchangeable with a variety of commercially available rollerball pen refills like Montblanc.
