Nichrome 80 Series wire does not rust or oxidize easily, is resistant to corrosive elements, and has the ability to heat up very rapidly when compared to other resistance wires. It is widely used in electric heating elements, such as in appliances and tools. Typically, nichrome is wound in coils to a certain electrical resistance, and current is passed through it to produce heat. It is also commonly used in industrial and hobby hot-wire foam cutters. Our spool comes with a wire guard to keep wire from unraveling.
