The Jonard Tools patented and award-winning MS-6 Mid span slitter is designed to open fiber Jackets and provide easy access to optical fibers in loose buffer tubes with 1.2 - 3.3 mm diameter. With 6 precision grooves to handle various cable sizes, The sleek ergonomic design allows you to open a fiber jacket or buffer tube without damaging the fiber. This tool is designed for use on the ofs ez-bend 3.0 mm cable and works great on PPC semi-flex 3 mm cables. It also works on Corning's outdoor Altos loose tube, microduct minixtend HD and minixtend cable with binder less fast-access technology, ofs ez-bend 3.0 mm cables, and on their indoor/outdoor freedom and LSZH loose tube cables having 1.4, 1.7, 2.5 mm buffer tubes. Replacement blades (part #: msb-1533) can be purchased separately.
