Fernandez Edwardo Raphael Daniel Yates, or Zed as prefers to be called, is finally going home. Back to Earth; back to the land of the free and the home of the brave. His job is done. He has saved two worlds, three if you include Earth, from the ravening hordes of the Creednax, and he has even manage to save most of his crew, despite the long odds. His new, if very alien, starship is purring like a kitten, the young woman he loves is sitting at his side and all is well with the world. Or so he thinks for exactly eighty seven more seconds.
