Former Principal Conductor and Music Director of the London Philharmonic Orchestra Klaus Tennstedt leads the Orchestra in these live concert performances of Beethovens Pastoral Symphony No. 6 and his Overture to Egmont, recorded in 1991 and 1992 at the Royal Festival Hall, London. No one can love the countryside as much as I do, Beethoven once said, for surely woods, trees and rocks produce the echo which man desires to hear.
