I grew up in a very religious household and was very sheltered in my younger years. At the age of 17 I had already disappointed my parents a million times over and by 19 I found myself poor, without a degree, and with child.

One day I looked in the mirror and realized I wasn’t the girl I once was. I had gained a lot of weight that I never lost and could barely move. One night, my mother sat me down and talked about my issues. That was the turning point for me, and I knew I had to try harder to bring God into our lives in order to heal me and raise my daughter in the light.

I was 234 pounds. I sat down and came up with five steps to a better lifestyle in line with God. I found a new beginning for my daughter and myself. I wrote this book to help others do the same.
