Craftsman Users: This cap and wingnut are a replacement for the Craftsman cap and wingnut (from 1988+ 5 gal+ vacuums). If your filter has a cap built-in then this item will not work. This item should only be used on your vacuum if you previously used a cap and wingnut separate from your filter or if you have contacted us and we have advised you to do so. It is important to make sure your filter is secured tightly without any holes or gaps. Ridgid Users: This cap is a required one-time purchase for Kopach filters, our filters are 1/2" shorter than Ridgid filters, so this cap will make up that difference and is reusable. This cap is reversible so if it does not fit the first try, flip it over and try the other. If you have any problems using this item please contact us and we would be happy to help!
