Unlike most tip magnets the magnet does not have to touch the screw to be effective. The neodymium magnets are held in place by a flexible and strong nylon collar. It can be used on round shaft manual screwdrivers, hex bits for impact drivers, or even tips that fit into a bit driver. Attach it to your hex bit for a consistent strong hold and slide it to the end so it is touching the screw for the strongest hold possible. Or just pass the tip through a couple times to give a little hold when putting in just a couple screws. It is just that simple.
