Wildflower
From within a shed on the Guthrie property, a young girl screams. Deaf, abused and locked away by her dreadful stepfather, Alice (Patricia Arquette) seems doomed to a life of misery. But when Ellie Perkins (Reese Witherspoon) discovers that her neighbor is in trouble, she recruits her older brother and father (Beau Bridges) to rescue Alice. Together the Perkins family teaches Alice about happiness and helps her get the education she so desperately needs. But not everyone wants Alice to succeed, and when her stepfather gets wind of her activities, he's prepared to lock her up for good.
