Joseph Moog has established an enviable reputation as one of the most impressive virtuoso pianists of the young generation. His tastes embrace both the core repertoire and many unjustly neglected works, such as the Moszkowski Piano Concerto. This skillfully constructed piece is overflowing with memorable tunes, brilliant piano writing and beautiful orchestration elegantly realized by the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrucken Kaiserslautern under Nicholas Milton. Moog couples the Moszkowski with the evergreen Grieg concerto, a work which never fails to impress.
