The WCS-D51 software allows you to program memory channels and menu settings of the radio. WCS-D51 works with authentic versions of this radio worldwide including the ID-51A and ID-51E. The original ID-51 and the new ID-51 Anniversary Edition radios now use the same software. The USB-RTS05 cable programs all versions of the ID-51 through the 2.5mm data port. It works with a limited few other Icom radios for programming with the RT Systems software. It, however, works both for programming the radio with the RT Systems software AND as a cable for digital data using other programs such as D-Rats for the ID-51 and some other Icom D-Star radios (handhelds and mobiles).
