Duane W. Rimel (1915-1996) was an American poet and an author. He published not only under his own name, but the pseudonym "Rex Weldon." His friend and mentor H.P. Lovecraft helped him write his first fantastic stories and poems in the 1930s. After Lovecraft's death, Rimel published four noir crime novels, all of which are collected here:
