Pumps are made of metal. They are not plated plastic that is going to break after a month or so. Yes, the part that sits in the liquid is ABS Plastic (you don't want metal sitting in liquid). CHECK YOUR BOTTLE NECK SIZE: These will screw directly onto many liquor bottles, what you can do, is if you have a lid that will fit on the bottle you are wanting to use one on, try that lid on a 2Liter coke bottle.... these pumps will fit a 2Liter Coke bottle (and of course the Jack Daniels Bottle) and I know that they will fit the Jägermeister bottles as well. And for those bottles that they will not fit onto, these will also come with the Glue Down Collar Ring.
