Kanken was released in 1978 to help prevent back problems seen among Swedish school children. Because we believe a good habit can never start too early, we have designed a smaller version of the now classic backpack. Kanken Kids has straps that are specifically designed to fit a small child's back and a chest strap to hold the shoulder straps in place. The format is perfect for children who want to carry their own packed lunch or pack their favorite teddy, a change of clothes, piece of fruit or anything else they might want to have with them through the day. Kanken Kids is made from durable and light Vinyl on F fabric that is water and dirt resistant. The main compartment has a large zippered opening that makes it easy to pack and unpack. There are two flat side pockets and a front pocket with a zipper. It comes with a sitting pad that is stored in the inside back pocket. There are handles on top and narrow, supple shoulder straps. The logo on the front doubles as a reflector.
