I didn't mean to be rude.

Stuck in the middle of nowhere, I should have appreciated the help that he offered. Instead, I insulted him. I was batting zero. If I'd know he'd be the one to save me, maybe I would have acted differently. I was both embarrassed and ashamed. What did he expect? He was a stranger, and I don’t open my door for just anyone.

I never expected to melt into him. I never expected to even like him. I do…and way more than I could have ever imagined. I have no idea how to get back to him without giving up my life first. I'm not sure what I want more - my identity or JD.
