When a routine assignment to acquire an old painting takes a turn for the worse, museum insurance investigator, Kate Diamond, finds herself in the midst of an unusual treasure hunt that comes complete with an ancient curse.

Enlisting the aid of her retired jewel thief parents and their band of thieves, safecrackers and con men from the Golden Capers retirement village, Kate finds herself deep in the jungles of Mexico in search of a valuable piece of ancient history.

But everything is not as it seems and Kate soon finds herself battling a sinister enemy, her former FBI partner and her fear of snakes in order to keep evil forces from discovering a centuries old secret that could destroy the world as we know it.
