Using a centuries-old French crock method, Butter Bay keeps butter soft and spreadable anytime, without refrigeration. A cube of butter fits perfectly inside, and Butter Bay's air-tight water seal maintains butter's fresh flavor for weeks. Just add 1/4 - 1/3 cup cold water to the basin (and change the water every 3 - 4 days) to keep butter soft and spreadable. Each Butter Bay is made using the slip-cast method, finished by hand, and kiln-fired in a factory that was built 114 years ago.
