A Sundial is a device indicating the time during the hours of sunlight by means of a stationary arm/ring (the gnomon) that casts a Bead of Light or Shadow onto a plate or surface marked in hours. These are unique handcrafted Sun Crafted of pewter and brass and available in several design motifs, these bold sundial replicas use a unique "Bead of Light" to tell time. First, adjust the brass band for the correct month. Then suspend the dial by its black satin cord with the hole facing the sun. A ray of sunshine will shine through to illuminate a number on the inside of the dial, showing the hour. Nicely packaged, all Shepherds Watch products come with instructions.
