Pursued by Grace

Jonah knew where God wanted him to go, yet still he went his own way - away from Him. However, despite his stubbornness, God never gives up on Jonah. Instead He pursues him, until his heart and faith are restored.

In this issue, we follow Jonah’s journey and the issues he struggled with, such as self-deception, self-interest and relating to God on his own terms. In exploring his resistance we can learn to become spiritually mature and understand that God is ever-patient. Like Jonah’s story, God’s grace is similarly always pursuing us, and through knowing His love and mercy we are always given the chance we need.
