The Jungle Book is the story of Mowgli, a young boy raised by wolves: his escapades and adventures with his dear friends Bagheera the panther and Baloo the bear, his capture by the Monkey-People, his attempt at reintegration into human society, and his ultimate triumph over the lame tiger Shere Khan. Rudyard Kipling’s classic story has thrilled generations of children and formed the basis for the unforgettable 1967 Disney movie.

Among the other classic stories included in this collection are Rikki-Tikki-Tavi about a mongoose who saves a family from a cobra, and Toomai of the Elephants about a young elephant handler.
