Kishu is simply a stick of activated charcoal made by heating oak tree branches in hand-made kilns. This process allows it to absorb toxins in water. Kishu also imparts good-for-you minerals. One stick lasts four months - then it can be reused as an odor absorber in the refrig or broken up and used in the garden to retain water.
