Once he returns to his village on the Southwest coast of Norway, Torleif soon finds out that his enslavement was part of a conspiracy. He questions the odd and superstitious people of his village. Some are happy to see him, others are not. But each member of his clan offers a small hint to the plot against him.

Sensing the web of lies that is slowly consuming him, Torleif lashes out and demands justice, only to be rebuffed at every turn. But he simply can't let it go...he will have his vengeance!
