Product Review
(PRODUCT INFORMATION) Plant Pro-Tec is a one of a kind repellent designed to keep pests out of your yard while still protecting the environment. Plant Pro-Tec repellents may be used to discourage browsing of trees, shrubs, flowers, grass, and vegetable plants. (HOW TO RELEASE THE GARLIC ODOR) The barrier that contains the repelling odor during storage and transport must be broken before the repellent is attached to a plant or fence. The barrier is broken using the stainless steel tool included in the bag (see images below). Because of the way the product is designed, the garlic odor is release only when the barrier is broken. The formulation itself stays within the repellent tube, slow releasing over a prolonged period of time. (HOW TO APPLY PLANT PRO-TEC (Garlic) REPELLENTS) Follow the instructions on the packaging to puncture the barrier which releases the repelling garlic odor. Repellent tubes should be clipped to individual plants and/or clipped to fences around area that is desired to be protected. For creating a barrier/perimeter, place repellent tubes about four (4) feet apart, closer for stronger results. The number of repellents to use on a plant depends on how much the animals like the plant and/or the animal's browsing habits. For example, a rose bush may require 3-4 repellents. It is important to monitor plants for new damage. If damage is still occurring add more repellents. Because of this, it is typically a good idea to keep some repellents in reserve in case the garlic odor needs to be intensified on certain plants. It is suggested that repellents be clipped on sideways to keep water from getting in and blocking the garlic odor from escaping. (STORAGE AND DISPOSAL) Store repellents in a cool, dry place inaccessible to children or pets. The shelf life of repellents with unbroken barrier is roughly one year. To dispose of, securely wrap in newspaper and discard in trash.
