Yes these peppers are very hot! We harvest these seeds directly from the pods. The seeds require patience and pampering to germinate. Germinating is difficult. First SOAK seeds in chamomile tea solution. To make the solution, brew a cup of chamomile tea, then reuse the old tea bag in a separate cup of boiling water. Wait a few minutes for the liquid to cool. Drop your seeds in the weak tea solution and wait 24 to 48 hours. Spray a clean paper towel or coffee filter with water until it's moist, but not dripping. 2. Squeeze any excess water out. 3. Fold the towel in quarters and place a few seeds in between the folds. 4. Position the towel with the seeds in a sealable, plastic bag, seal it shut and place it on a plant heat mat or a warm area like the top of your refrigerator. The top of a cable box is also a warm place. Make sure to write the pepper variety and date on the bag. 5. Spray more water when the towel dries. Check your seeds daily to watch for little plant parts emerging. With scissors carefully cut around the seeds in the paper towel. Do not remove them from the paper towel. Place the seedling on top of the mix and cover it with a LIGHT layer of soil. The seedling's roots will continue to grow, the plant will emerge past the surface and the towel will dissolve into the mix. Watering your seedlings from the BOTTOM. Position your containers in a plant tray, and pour prepared chamomile tea solution water in the tray until the water reaches halfway up the sides of the containers. Allow the water to stand for 10 to 15 minutes, and then check the soil surface for moisture. Place seed containers in FULL SUNLIGT until plants emerge. The seeds must be started indoors, 8 weeks before last frost. The plants do best when outside temperatures reach a daily 70 degrees and night temperatures do not dip below 50. Warming mats can also be used to keep the soil warm for prime germination. Please Note: The hotter the pepper =longer germination times.

  • 1000 FRESH ans VIABLE seeds!
  • The hotter a pepper variety is, the longer they seem to take to germinate.
  • Carolina Reaper Pepper seeds are slow germinating. Germination period can become a 6 to 8 week. Please be patience to grow it.
