This high-quality ceramic magnet measures 1" x 1" x 4" and is made of a grade 8 ceramic magnetic material and is capable of holding up to 17 pounds under ideal conditions.

While not quite as powerful as neodymium magnets, ceramic magnets are an economic solution for applications in which neodymium magnets are either too strong, too expensive, or under environmental conditions that are not ideal. Because of their extremely brittle nature, caution should be exercised when handling these magnets because they can expel shards if they are allowed to snap together or inadvertently slam against a magnetic surface.
