Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction, alternate history, and speculative fiction that involves an era or world where steam power is still widely used usually the 19th century and often Victorian era Britannia that incorporates prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy. This wonderfully charming cold cast resin trinket box features a Steampunk style octopus on the top. The box has excellent detailing, from the gears and cogs that make up the dragon to the aged finish on the parts, and is hand-painted with metallic copper and bronze enamel paints. The top lifts off to reveal the open space for your small treasures. The box measures 3 1/2 inches high, 4 inches in diameter. The interior box area is 3 inches in diameter, 1 1/2 inches deep. It makes a great addition to any Steampunk art collection.
