Set of two, one per shoulder!
Ideally this set of shoulder armor is meant to be worn with cotton padding underneathe and other steel plate armor. In fact, the top of each pauldron (sometimes refered to as spaulders) has a buckle to link it in with the rest of your armor setup. Wearing this set provides ample room to move around and the plates move well with the natural motion of the body. Has very thick genuine leather straps with buckles to secure them tightly around the arm and with other armor.
