Description: Kokum Butter comes from the plant of the Garcinia Indicia Tree indigenous to India. This butter is a harder, cream colored and odor free. Often underrated, it is one of the hardest and most stable vegetable butters. It offers excellent emollient properties to assist with skin health.

Common Uses: With its relatively high melt point, Kokum Butter liquefies slowly at skin temperature making it ideal for use in lipsticks and lip balms. It is also used in bar soaps, body butters, creams and conditioners. It is more quickly absorbed into the skin without leaving a greasy feel and is often used as a substitute for Cocoa Butter due to its uniform triglyceride composition.

Note: Because of the nature of the extraction process, color and consistency of this butter may vary from batch to batch. Rest assured - this is an all natural product. As with most raw materials, results may vary, so we strongly recommend small batches prior to any commercial manufacturing.

Shelf Life: Store in cool temperatures (below 77 °F) away from light and moisture in an air-tight container. The product will become liquid above ambient temperatures (97 °F), but will re-solidify upon cooling without affecting functionality. This butter has a shelf-life of 1 year when stored properly.
