A healthy lifestyle includes a balanced diet consisting of a wide variety of foods, rich in whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. However, most people do not consume an optimal amount of all vitamins and minerals from diet alone. Selenium is but one example. Consuming the recommended Daily Value (DV), helps assure an adequate intake of essential nutrients. This is especially important for older individuals and those taking acid suppression products who may have reduced nutrient absorption. ENDUR-VM is available in two formulations, one with iron and another without iron. Women have greater requirements for iron due to increased loss from menstruation. Men and post-menopausal women generally do not require iron supplementation.
