Reddish violet balls 4-5in across are borne on 20-30in stems in late spring. This is the earliest of the large-flowered Alliums and also among the most affordable. Outstanding with silver foliage, and with Bearded Irises or Ladies' Mantle (Alchemilla). Late-spring. 3 per sq ft.
