Beets, botanically-known as Beta vulgaris, are native to the Mediterranean. Although the leaves have been eaten for many years, the actual beet root was generally used medicinally and did not become a popular food until about the1800's.

You can use Nature Restore Beet Powder by easily adding one or two teaspoons to your water, juice, smoothie etc. Instead of using a traditional beet supplement, you can use our powders for added convenience. To make each half pound bag, we use roughly 15 dehydrated beets

One teaspoon of beet powder provides about the same nutrition as one whole beet. Another easy way to use the beet powder is to sprinkle it on foods such as yogurt or cottage cheese.

For sports nutrition, recommend using tablespoon of red beet as a natural preworkout for nitric oxide production.
