Like the more expensive Giro helmets, the Revel is designed using the In-Mold Construction method. This means that the exterior polycarbonate shell is fused with the foam liner so that the two work as one in the event of a crash. The EPS liner is also identical to Giro's other helmets because Giro doesn't think that your head is worth any less than that of a pro rider. And you get 22 vents incorporated into the shell to move air across your head so that you keep cool. Giro also added a removable visor for those sunny days. To secure it to your head, Giro uses the Acu-Dial retention system.
