Product Review
You may know Sodium Carbonate as soda ash, washing soda, solvay soda, disodium carbonate or soda crystals. This white, odorless powder can be used in hundreds of different ways. Sodium carbonate can absorb moisture in the air, or dissolve in water to increase pH and neutralize acidity.
What exactly is sodium carbonate? It's the sodium salt of carbonic acid. Often found in powder form, it's used in a wide range of industries, such as cleaning and personal care products, mold remover, gardening, and pH adjustor. One common source of washing soda is the ashes of burned plants; for this reason, it is sometimes called soda ash. It can be extracted from kelp from Scotland and seaweed from Spain. Because the ashes of these sodium-rich plants were noticeably different from ashes of timber (used to create potash), they became known as "soda ash".
Factory Direct Chemicals 99% Pure Soda Ash comes in a convenient jar with a twist-off lid for easy transportation, application, and storage.
