The washers are big enough to keep kids fingers out of the tight area of the joints as they move. This is a unique safety feature. Comes mostly assembled. You need to put the wheels on and the seat and put the digger on the base. Assembly time is about 5 minutes. The toy has a durable outdoor powdercoat to resist fading. It is heavier built then most competing wheeled diggers weighing in at 13lbs. The toy can be used in the sandbox, in a grave or dirt pile, at the beach on a pre school or school play ground, at the park. It easily folds down to transport to your favorite outdoor play area. Some people even set up a sandbox in the garage or on the deck or use balls or foams fill to create a play digging area indoors. Lenth with the bucket extended is 44 inches.
