The film details his relationships and encounters with the other inhabitants of the small Texas town, including his teenage girlfriend Inez, his twenty-three year-old neighbor Donna who tries to seduce him on his birthday, his teacher, a local artist who also wants to have sex with him and a mentally unstable border patrol agent who directs his focus on Adam's mother.
