Please kindly do not purchase this item, if you are not sure the difference between a splitter and a switcher
This is a splitter, for one audio source to be distributed up to three speaker units at the same time. 
This is 1X3 splitter unit (one input to three outputs), not the 3X1 switcher (three inputs to one output); they look similar, but different products. Please double check to make sure you order the correct item.  
This is not a troublesome mechanical splitter. This reliable 1X3splitter unit utilizes integrated circuits to duplicate the input signal seamlessly and flawlessly without degradation.  
One input to three outputs, three outputs have the same audio signal as the input.
