This album of Russian Dances is beautifully performed by Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, under the baton of Kazuki Yamada. The album contains masterful works from brilliant conductors, including Tchaikovskys Suite from Swan Lake, Glazunovs Two Concert Waltzes, Shostakovichs The Golden Age, and Stravinskys Circus Polka. The album does an excellent job of preserving the important role that ballet has in Russian musical culture.
