Why I had to write this

I’ve worked for large multi-billion dollar global companies for almost a decade. I kept thinking about how these organisations constantly encouraged collaboration and strived to improve productivity, yet often failed because of poor technology. While culture plays an important part in a collaborative and productive workplace, so too does having the right tools.

Enterprise technology has never quite kept up with consumer technology. For years we’ve been too dependent on email, and have had to deal with inferior file sharing services, nightmare intranets, clunky instant messaging, as well as second rate employee social media platforms. We’ve been yearning for a tool that is powerful, user-friendly and customisable.

Enter Slack – a game-changing collaboration tool that is changing the way we work.

After experimenting with Slack and seeing its capabilities, I knew I had to write something big about it. Slack brings the best of consumer type technology to the business world.
